Inside Out, a ZBCtv reality series similar to Big Brother is calling for participants.

The selection process kicks off in Bulawayo at the Rainbow Hotel on October 28 and 29 October.

The show’s co-producer, Sanpoulus Maplanka said the show which had been expected to begin airing on October 1, would now start on January 1 and run for 90 days.

The 26 cast reality game show has aspects of Big Brother and Survivor as participants would be living in outdoor settings, placed in groups and also evicted based on votes from viewers.

Maplanka said the series’ dates were moved to January to ensure there are no disruptions to their strategic tourism partners’ operations.

The 90 day-long series will be aired everyday for the duration of the show with two winners set to walk away with a total of $40 000 in prizes.

The reality show will see participants touring the country’s premier tourist attractions where they will stay for a week at each place as they complete various challenges after which viewers will vote two participants out.

The “tour-mates” will be under round-the-clock camera surveillance as they visit and camp at major tourist sites that include Matopo Hills Resort, Great Zimbabwe, Lake Kyle, Gonarezhou Game Reserve, Chimanimani, Vumba and Nyanga Mountains, Bumi Hills, Hwange, Binga and Victoria Falls among others.

There will be weekly DropOut sessions, where unpopular tour mates would be voted out, six remaining participants will fight it out for the top prizes.

After conducting auditions in Bulawayo, the audition team will move to Gweru (Fairmile Motel) on October 30 and 31 followed by Masvingo (Chevron Hotel) before travelling to Mutare (Amber Hotel) for auditions on November 2 and 3.

Harare conducts auditions at Rainbow Towers from November 4 to 6.

Maplanka, whose entity, Sanchi Productions is producing the show said: “This is an opportunity to get noticed and reach your dream of fame and fortune. The show is about ordinary people seeking to realise their dream.”

To be part of the series, aspirants should pre-book slots by sending a video explaining why they need to be on the show. They can email the video to insideoutauditions@gmail.com.

Maplanka said although people will be auditioned at the venues, first preference will be given to those who will have pre-booked.

“Audition fees have been pegged at $5. Aspirants will be expected to answer questions genuinely and truthfully.

“There are no tricky questions, one should be himself/herself from the way one talks and dresses.

“We don’t want people to show some imitation character or celebrity look alikes, but want them to be themselves and show knowledge of tourist facts on Zimbabwe.”

“This show is not based on physical ability to perform hard tasks, but a combination of wit and social skills will see you through. Most tasks will be done in groups, so team work is a must.”
