HORIZON Night club will on Saturday night host a party for Bulawayo musicians who won accolades at the just ended Zimbabwe Music Awards.
The party will be in honour of four musicians, hip hop sensation Cal_Vin who won the Best Hip Hop accolade, Nkwali who won the Best Acapella, DJ Skaiva who won the Best House album and Andy Cutta who won the Best Music Video producer.
Organiser of the party, DJ Joe tha OG, said: “This is to celebrate the musicians’ achievement as they put Bulawayo on the national map, making us proud,” he said.
Joe tha OG said people in Bulawayo needed to support their own talent first if their artistes are to be acknowledged on a national level.
“Their music has been recognised by many and it’s high time that we do more to appreciate these musicians who’re working hard.
Hosting the party is our little way of showing them that we appreciate their works.
“The party will also serve as an opportunity for people to put a face to the music as some don’t know the faces behind the award-winning music.”
The VIP section at the nightspot will be reserved for the artistes where they will be treated to complimentary drinks and snacks.
Entertainment will be provided by Black Troop DJs Lacusto, Que Bass, Miles and Lasky. The winners might also do guest appearances on the stage.
