Jah Prayzah puts his cooking skills to test

Showbiz Reporter
JAH Prayzah has traded the microphone and mbira for pots and pans after joining the Pure Drop Cooking Oil family as their ambassador.

The artiste is now keeping his dreadlocks extra clean, ensuring they are styled backwards as he is spending more time in the kitchen and would not want hair falling into pots.

His manager, Keen Mushapaidze said they had accepted the Pure Drop deal after first sampling the company’s products.

“Before signing up for this ambassadorial deal, we sampled Pure Drop at our homes and realised the real recipe was with Pure Drop cooking oil.

“We didn’t want to rush into accepting the deal as we didn’t want to lead people astray and make them buy a product that’s sub-standard. Fortunately, the brand didn’t disappoint us and Jah is excited to be their ambassador,” Mushapaidze said.

An excited Jah Prayzah said working with Pure Drop would let fans into his life as they would see his other talents.

“I guess most people thought I was just a musician. But if you give me Pure Drop, you’ll see how much of a good cook I am,” said the musician who, clad in a white outfit with an apron and food he had prepared, was posted on his Facebook page.

With his popular lyrics – ngazvitenderere – from hit song, Chinamira, Jah Prayzah created a hash tag: “TozvitenderedzaMuKitchen” which he will be using each time he posts a video of the food he will have prepared or of him in action.

So far, Jah Prayzah, who started work with Pure Drop in February this year, has participated in a number of their activations.
